The September 2024 Windows non-security preview update is now available for Windows 10, version 22H2

Windows 10 users of version 22H2 can now access the September 2024 non-security preview update. An update for Windows 11 users of version 23H2 and 22H2 will be released soon. The update contains improvements such as a new position for your profile picture in the Start menu, new color options, and addresses issues with Microsoft Edge and media playback. Monthly quality updates for Windows 10 are available on the Windows 10 update history page, while Windows monthly updates are explained in detail.

Note that the October 2024 security update is the final security release for the Enterprise and Education editions of Windows 11, version 21H2, and Home and Pro editions of Windows 11, version 22H2. After this date, monthly security and preview updates for these versions will no longer be available. Devices using the supported editions of Windows 11, version 23H2 and 22H2, will continue to receive updates through their specific lifecycle dates, which can be found on the Windows 11 release information page.
