The May 2024 Windows security update is now available

Windows users, the May 2024 security update is now ready for installation on Windows 11 and all supported versions of Windows 10. It is highly recommended that users promptly install these updates to ensure their systems remain secure. The release notes, which are easily accessible from the Windows 11 and Windows 10 update history pages, provide information about the content of this update. The Windows 11, versions 23H2 and 22H2 highlights include improvements that were a part of update KB5036980, which was released on April 23, 2024. Furthermore, this update addresses a known issue that causes VPN connections to fail after the installation of the update dated April 9, 2024, or later. Also, kindly note that the June 2024 security update will be the final release for Enterprise, Education, and IoT Enterprise editions of Windows 10, version 21H2. Windows 10, version 22H2, will be the final version of Windows 10, and all editions will remain in support with monthly security updates until October 14, 2025. Enterprise and IoT Enterprise LTSB/LTSC editions of version 21H2 will continue to have mainstream support until January 12, 2027.
