Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance – General availability of advanced classification

Microsoft is rolling out support for advanced classification in its Purview Communication Compliance, which is currently available in public preview. This will enable the detection of inappropriate sharing of sensitive information types like named entities, credentials, and exact data match. The new sensitive information types will be accessible to designated administrators during policy configuration and will be available by mid-August. Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance provides tools to help in detecting business conduct and regulatory compliance violations, such as sensitive or confidential information, harassing or threatening language, and sharing of adult content. This feature is built with privacy by design, with usernames pseudonymized by default and audit logs in place to help ensure user-level privacy.It is recommended to get started with Communication Compliance in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal.
