SharePoint Online: New heading level options for web parts

SharePoint Online: New heading level options for web parts

SharePoint Online will soon release a new feature that allows authors to choose heading levels for titles in web parts, enhancing the hierarchy of information on a page. The default heading font sizes in the Text web part will also change. This rollout will take effect in early April 2024 for targeted release users and mid-April 2024 for general availability. No action is required from admins as the rollout is automatic. Both existing and new pages and news posts will have the new default heading font sizes. Authors can configure their own heading level but if left unset, it will default to Heading 2. It's recommended to notify SharePoint authors and update documentation as necessary. This development is associated with MC670896 Accessibility Improvements to Page Authoring (August 2023) and with Roadmap ID 387500. The post on M365 Admin provides more information about this update.
