Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Static alert and case IDs

Insider Risk Management has introduced a helpful feature for administrators: static alert and case IDs. These IDs enable admins to track and communicate investigation progress to their colleagues more easily.

Insider Risk Management is a tool within Microsoft Purview that analyzes various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. With Insider Risk Management, customers can develop policies to manage security and compliance. The product prioritizes privacy, as users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to protect user-level privacy.

This new feature is available in the general release phase, with a release date of February CY2024 and a preview date of May CY2023. It is available on the web cloud platform for worldwide use in a standard multi-tenant instance.
