Microsoft SharePoint: document processing models will no longer process files if the service is not enabled for the site
Microsoft SharePoint has announced that document processing models will no longer process files on disabled sites, effective September 2024. Previously, models would process files even if the site was disabled, but this change will ensure that the Syntex service is only enabled on sites where processing should continue. The change will be applied automatically, with no admin action required, and will make model processing consistent with other content processing services. Users will need to enable the Syntex service for sites where model processing should continue. The change will take effect in September 2024 and is on by default. Users may want to notify their users about the change and update relevant documentation.
For more information on how to manage sites that require you to enable a service, refer to the provided links to Microsoft Learn.
