Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – Extend DLP controls to Firefox browser

Microsoft Purview users can now extend their Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls to Firefox browsers, according to this latest update. With the addition of this feature, DLP admins can define policies that prevent sensitive information from being exfiltrated through the Firefox browser. These policies effectively disallow actions like copying data from one document to another using the Clipboard, printing sensitive documents, copying to USB removable media or copying to a network share. This feature is set to release in June CY2023, with a preview available in January CY2023. It is accessible on the web cloud instance worldwide for Standard Multi-Tenant.

Overall, this update reflects Microsoft's continued commitment to bolster the Purview compliance portal, providing organizations with critical tools to safeguard their data and maintain compliance standards.
