Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – Enhancements to DLP capabilities on macOS endpoints
Microsoft Purview is taking a big leap forward in data loss prevention (DLP) capabilities on macOS endpoints. DLP Admins will have greater control with macOS updates, including more granular controls through Removable USB device groups, Network share groups, and Printer groups. The DLP system will consolidate multiple policies and will apply the most restrictive policy to protect sensitive files. This will enable DLP Admins to protect sensitive files stored on the network share and mapped network drives. The rollout of these updates is expected to begin in late November and should be completed by mid-December 2023.
To prepare for these enhancements, users can get started with Data Loss Prevention in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal. By learning more about data loss prevention, users can make the most of these improvements and safeguard their sensitive data.
