Microsoft Teams: Hardware Occupancy Sensor Integration

Microsoft Teams is set to release a new feature that integrates occupancy sensors into its system. With supported hardware, the feature displays a notification banner on the Teams panel when a conference room is occupied or reserved, providing users with real-time occupancy status. Additionally, the sensor would automatically check the room in if check-in is enabled. This new feature is set to be available with the general release of Microsoft Teams in December CY2022 and will be applicable on Android platforms in the worldwide cloud instance.
To learn more about this exciting new feature, check out the official Microsoft Roadmap ID 101993, available via the M365 Admin newsletter.
