Microsoft Defender for Office 365: End user reporting for suspicious messages in Microsoft Teams

Microsoft has announced that its Defender for Office 365 product will soon allow users to report suspicious messages in Microsoft Teams. This reporting feature will help organizations protect themselves from attacks via Teams by allowing users to flag suspicious messages as a security threat. The feature will function similarly to the existing reporting feature for emails. The preview release is slated for January CY2023 and will be available on desktop and cloud platforms worldwide for standard multi-tenant instances.

To implement this feature, Microsoft is leveraging its expertise in security to provide organizations with a robust threat detection and defense mechanism against phishing attempts and other malicious attacks. With this new functionality, end-users will be able to participate in the fight against cyberattacks, further strengthening the overall security posture of the organization with Microsoft Defender for Office 365.
