Microsoft Defender for Office 365: End user reporting for suspicious messages in Microsoft Teams
Microsoft has announced that end users will now be able to report suspicious messages in Microsoft Teams as a security threat, which will help organizations protect themselves against attacks via Teams. This update levels the playing field with emails, as end users are now able to report suspicious messages in teams just like they can for emails.
This feature will be available on the Microsoft Defender for Office 365 platform, and is currently in the preview release phase, with a scheduled release date for January CY2023. The cloud-based platform will be available worldwide and on the standard multi-tenant instance. This development is expected to significantly bolster security in organizations that rely on Microsoft Teams for communication and collaboration.
