The October 2024 Windows security update is now available

The latest Windows security update for the month of October 2024 is now available for all supported versions of Windows, and users are recommended to install it as soon as possible. The update includes improvements included in the September 26, 2024 update KB5043178 and aims to address issues that may cause the Remote Desktop Gateway Service to stop responding. Monthly security and preview updates designed for the Enterprise and Education editions of Windows 11, version 21H2 and Home and Pro editions of Windows 11, version 22H2 end with this release, meaning that devices running these editions will no longer receive security updates. However, supported editions of Windows 11 will continue to have support through their designated lifecycle dates.
