Microsoft Teams: Join meetings with a QR code on Teams Rooms on Windows using Teams mobile

Microsoft Teams has introduced a new feature that allows users to join meetings quickly without forwarding the invite to the room calendar. Using their native mobile camera, users can scan a QR code displayed on the Teams Room home screen which then directs them to the Teams mobile companion mode on their mobile device. IT admins can control the feature in the device settings and the Teams admin center. The QR code feature supports cross-tenant meetings. Users also have the option to start an ad-hoc meeting or cast content from their mobile to the Teams Room display through the QR code. If a user doesn't have the Teams mobile app installed, they will be prompted to download it after scanning the QR code. This feature was made generally available in April CY2024 and is available on Cloud Instance Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), GCC High, and GCC platforms.
