Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Adaptive Protection and Conditional Access

Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management offers a new level of control to organizations with its Adaptive Protection and Conditional Access features. By incorporating insider risk levels into Conditional Access policies, organizations can better protect sensitive data from insider threats and maintain compliance standards. In the Adaptive Protection tab, users can find total counts for Conditional Access policies, and new user insights have been added to the user activity timeline when an insider risk level is modified. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management combines various signals to detect potentially harmful insider activity, such as IP theft and security violations, while empowering users to create granular policies aligned with their organization's needs. With robust access controls and privacy features, such as pseudonymization, role-based access controls, and audit logs, user-level privacy is ensured. This product release is in the preview stage and is set to launch in July CY2024, with a preview available in March CY2024. It is a web-based cloud platform available worldwide.
