Microsoft Mesh: Support for audio when sharing screens in Microsoft Teams immersive events
Microsoft Teams is set to roll out a new feature in early to mid-December 2024 that will allow audio support during screen sharing for presenters using Microsoft Mesh along with a Teams Premium license in immersive events, according to Roadmap ID 423475. This feature will not require any admin action to be enabled. Presenters in Mesh with a Teams Premium license will be able to include system audio when starting a screen share in an immersive event. This newly added feature will be available by default for users to enable. Any relevant documentation needs to be updated and users notified of the changes, but no new admin work is required to use this new capability.
This latest update is part of Microsoft Mesh's mission to provide premium user experiences that enable data sharing, remote collaboration, and visual storytelling across organizations.
