Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – Named entity coverage for additional markets and languages

The Microsoft Purview compliance portal now offers expanded coverage for Named Entities in additional markets and languages. Named Entities refer to sensitive information types like person names, medical terms and conditions, and physical addresses that are not easily identifiable by regular expressions or functions alone. This update adds coverage for name and address identification in 7 new countries, including China and Russia, and expands coverage of medical terms and conditions for the Diseases SIT in 29 new languages, covering a significant portion of Europe, China, Japan, and Korea. This update will be available for general use starting July of 2023 and can be accessed via the web-based cloud platform anywhere in the world with a Standard Multi-Tenant account.
