Microsoft Stream: Improved block download experience for video files
Microsoft Stream continues to make strides in video file security. In the past, enabling the "block download" feature for certain videos required users to adjust permissions within the share link settings. But now, selecting the "Can view, but not download" option is easier than ever. As an added layer of protection, this option is available for video files on Microsoft Stream, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
This change is set to roll out in December 2023 for Targeted Release and January 2024 for Standard Release. Ensure your training materials are up-to-date in preparation for this change, and rest easy knowing that your video files are more secure than ever before.
