Microsoft Viva: Updates to Connections on the web
Microsoft Viva Connections has announced it will have a new entry point on the SharePoint home site, which will be accessible by default post-release in August-September 2024. Employers should inform workers of the update and can disable it if unprepared, but no admin action is required before the rollout. An additional entry point to access Viva Connections on web is also in development, which will allow workers easy access outside of Teams. This feature will become available via rollout on August 2024 and is expected to be completed by late September 2024. However, the feature can be turned off by customers using the Navigation site setting. Employers should inform the company and corporate communicators of these changes and update any relevant documents.
