New SharePoint site templates
Microsoft has announced the addition of three new SharePoint site templates that aim to simplify the process of creating sites for various organizational needs. The first template, named “Organization Home,” serves as a basic home page for SharePoint portals, while the second template, “Brand Central,” offers guidance to organizations looking to showcase and guide others through the use of their brand. The third template, powered by Microsoft Syntex, is dedicated to making Accounts Payable processes smoother, and comes with prebuilt tutorials and content. Users will be able to browse, preview and apply templates to new or existing SharePoint sites, offering greater consistency throughout the organization. The feature will be enabled by default, and will be rolled out at the end of March for targeted releases and in early April for standard releases.
