Microsoft 365: Italy datacenter region and Advanced Data Residency availability
Microsoft 365 is launching a new local cloud region in Italy to provide better service to users in the country. Additionally, eligible customers can opt for the Advanced Data Residency add-on, which offers committed data residency, prioritized tenant migration services, and expanded coverage of Microsoft 365 workloads and customer data. This add-on will be available in Italy as well. The General Availability release for this product is scheduled for September 2023. The platform is web-based and hosted on the multi-tenant Worldwide instance. For more information on this announcement, visit the Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 149269.
