Microsoft Purview | Insider Risk Management: New scenario-based policy templates

Microsoft Purview's Insider Risk Management is set to receive two new preconfigured policy templates for Crown jewel protection and Email exfiltration to assist admins in deploying scenario-specific policies quickly. This will enable them to have less configuration time and get started with quick policies that are readily available. The quick policies for Data leak and Data theft will still be available, and additional tuning will be required after deploying any of these policies to match individual alert volume needs. These four scenario-based quick policies can be found in Insider Risk Management under Policies > Create Policies. These new policies will be turned on by default and are set to roll out in late November 2024 with completion expected by mid-December 2024. General availability (Worldwide, GCC, GCC High, DoD) will begin rolling out in early February 2025, with completion expected by late March 2025. No admin action is required before the rollout, and users may want to review the current configuration to assess the effects.
