Microsoft Stream: View & Edit mode toggle

Microsoft Stream has introduced a new feature that enables users with editing permissions to toggle between two different modes when watching a Stream video: View and Edit mode. In the View mode, users can only watch the video, while in the Edit mode, users with editing permission can alter the video metadata, including the title, description, chapters, and transcript. The default mode will be set as View, as the View/Edit mode toggle is designed to prevent accidental edits to video metadata. This feature is set to be generally available on the web-based cloud instance worldwide, GCC High, DoD, GCC platforms from July CY2023. The primary goal is to enhance user control and security over Stream video metadata, which is essential for managing large-scale video content.
