Microsoft Stream: View and Edit mode toggle

Microsoft Stream users will soon be able to toggle between View and Edit modes when viewing a video. View mode will allow users to solely view the video whereas Edit mode will permit users with editing permissions to make changes to the video metadata, including the title, description, chapters, and transcript. The View/Edit mode toggle will be initially set on View to avoid unintended changes to video metadata. This feature will be available on Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 124992 and will roll out in mid-December 2023, completing at the end of January 2024. It will allow for better control over video editing and prevent users from making unnecessary changes. All users with editing permissions will soon be equipped with the ability to make these changes as needed.
