Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – New email scoring capabilities

Microsoft Purview compliance portal introduces new email scoring capabilities for its Insider Risk Management (IRM). The updated scoring logic counts a single email to multiple recipients as one, reducing noise in the risk score. This new feature applies to emails containing multiple unallowed domains or priority content. With this update, all email insights in alerts will display the new score and count. Purview Insider Risk Management identifies potential insider risks, including IP theft, data leakage, and security violations, by correlating various signals. Customers can create policies based on their internal policies and governance, thanks to Insider Risk Management's customizable nature. The product comes with built-in privacy features such as role-based access controls, pseudonymization of users, and audit logs. The product is set for General Availability Release on February CY2025, and it will be available on different platforms, including Web Cloud Instance DoD, GCC High, and GCC.
