Advanced Meeting Policies for Content Sharing in Microsoft Teams

Advanced Meeting Policies for Content Sharing in Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is introducing advanced meeting policies for IT Admins to control content sharing in external meetings, including screen sharing and whiteboard functionality. The feature will be available on various platforms and will require a Teams Premium license. IT Admins will be able to control content sharing permissions for users or groups participating in external meetings, helping to prevent the unintentional disclosure of sensitive information. This feature will roll out early May 2024, with full availability by late August 2024, and no admin action is required before rollout. Users without a Teams Premium license will not benefit from this policy. To establish this policy, IT Admins can go to the Teams Admin Center, Meeting Policies, Content Sharing Policies, and Settings for participant content sharing in meetings hosted externally.
