Microsoft Teams: Meeting ID and passcode to join on Teams Rooms on Windows
If you're an IT Admin looking to ensure high levels of privacy and security during Teams Rooms on Windows meetings, you can now configure and require a meeting ID and passcode to join the meeting. This feature is available for Teams Room Pro customers and is aimed at helping IT Admins maintain control over their organization's meeting policies.
The feature is currently available on the desktop cloud instance and is set to be released in June CY2023. With this feature, attendees joining a meeting will need to enter the meeting ID and passcode to gain access, adding an extra layer of security to sensitive meetings.
