Microsoft Teams: Programmatic Desktop Sharing

Developers can now enable programmatic desktop sharing for Microsoft Teams, allowing meeting presenters to screen-share specific pieces of app content for enhanced collaboration. Unlike existing share-to-stage functionality, meeting participants can only view the shared app and cannot interact with it. The shared content is automatically captured in the meeting recording and is perfect for co-consumption scenarios.
This innovative feature, which doesn't require substantial developer investment, demonstrates how Microsoft Teams continues to evolve and prioritize collaboration functionality for enhanced productivity. Desktop sharing has already improved collaboration, and programmatic desktop sharing will elevate it to new heights.
