Product transitions to the cloud.microsoft domain – August 2024

In 2023, Microsoft provisioned the cloud.microsoft domain to serve as a unified and dedicated DNS domain space to manage their first-party authenticated SaaS products and experiences. Microsoft's Excel, PowerPoint, and Word products are the latest applications to be made available on the newly created cloud.microsoft domain. No user action is required as links are backwards compatible, but organizations should update references and unblock the *.cloud.microsoft domain to prepare for the transition. While links to the previous domains will continue to be supported, Microsoft plans to redirect them to the new cloud domain over the next few months.
