Microsoft Teams: Block a user for your organization

Microsoft Teams: Block a user for your organization

In order to prevent malicious users from contacting a victim repeatedly, Microsoft Teams is introducing a new "block user" API for admins to utilize. This feature will allow admins to block the user from messaging anyone within the organization, similar to the allow/block list function in federation. Even with the delete API available, it does not prevent the user from sending messages again, thus the block user API will help prevent any future unwanted messaging.

The release date for this feature is October CY2024, and it will be available on the iOS cloud platform worldwide. Microsoft Teams has prioritized the security and privacy of its users and continues to add new features to protect its users from unwanted communication and cyber attacks.
