Microsoft Teams: Multi-instance app customization support for Teams apps

Microsoft Teams is getting a new feature that allows IT admins to create multiple customized versions of the same Teams app for different groups or departments. From early April 2024 to early May 2024, the Microsoft Teams admin center will support multi-instance app customization and management. This feature enhances the Teams experience for users across different roles by improving utility and user satisfaction. Admins can customize app icons, names, descriptions, and more to meet specific requirements. The flexibility of this feature allows admins to set a default customization for organization-wide use while also creating specific customizations for distinct user groups, creating tailor-made Teams and enhancing the Teams experience for users. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 178355.
No action is needed to prepare for this change, but it is recommended to notify users and update relevant documentation as appropriate. The post, titled "Microsoft Teams: Multi-instance app customization support for Teams apps" can be found on M365 Admin website.
