Identify Risky AI Usage with Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal Insider Risk Management

Microsoft Purview compliance portal's Insider Risk Management now includes new detections of risky AI usage that can pose a risk to an organization. These detections cover intentional and unintentional insider risk activity on generative AI apps and include risky prompts and responses containing sensitive information or generated from sensitive files or sites. The coverage spans across Microsoft Copilots and third-party generative AI apps to contribute to Adaptive Protection insider risk levels. Privacy is ensured by default with pseudonymized user data, role-based access controls, and audit logs. The update is set to be released in September CY2024.
