Microsoft Teams apps and Microsoft Copilot extensions: New security and certification information

Admins responsible for deploying Microsoft Teams apps and Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 extensions will soon have access to new security and certification information to aid compliance assessments. This feature, available in the Teams and Microsoft 365 admin centers, will provide a consolidated view of Microsoft 365 certification outcomes and ISV-submitted data, streamlining compliance assessment. This feature will be rolled out worldwide from mid-October to mid-November 2024 and is on by default, with no admin action required before the rollout. The information provided will include outcomes from specific Microsoft 365 certification tests, as well as evidence submitted by ISVs during Microsoft's audit of their app or Copilot extension. For non-certified apps, admins will receive details on data handling, security, and compliance self-attested by the ISV. This new feature will be available on the Manage Apps page and the Integrated Apps page of the Teams and Microsoft 365 admin centers, respectively. Admins may want to update any relevant documentation and notify other admins of this change.
