The Microsoft 365 Roadmap is set to launch a new feature that allows inline playback of videos on Highlighted content web parts. This feature will be available for web parts configured with carousel or filmstrip layouts, and for 1-col and 2-col sections. The feature will be available for Standard Release starting early November 2023 and will be completed by mid-November 2023.
With this feature, users will be able to watch videos inline while browsing and scrolling through other content on the page. There is no need for any action to prepare for this change, but it is recommended to notify users and update relevant documentation to inform them of the new functionality. So stay tuned and gear up for a new and improved video playback experience with Highlighted content web parts!
