Microsoft Purview | Endpoint DLP: Authorized USB devices
Microsoft Purview introduces a new capability called “Endpoint DLP: Authorized USB Devices,” which allows you to create groups of USB devices and assign specific actions for each group within your DLP policy. This feature provides authorized or unauthorized groups of USB devices, based on their serial numbers, and enables users to copy documents to certain groups of USB devices, while blocking copying for others. This capability facilitates the proper handling and safeguarding of sensitive data, while enabling smooth collaboration. The product is set to release in December CY2022, with a preview date of October CY2022. The platform is available worldwide for Desktop Cloud instances.
