Pausing the Briefing emails from Microsoft Viva
Microsoft Viva's Briefing emails are set for an overhaul in response to user feedback, with a pausing of the service between January 15th and February 1st 2023. When the new email roadmap launches later in 2023, it will feature personalized content catering to individual users.
While the pause may be jarring for some, there are alternative resources available for users reliant on features such as meeting prep, outstanding task reminders, booking focus time, and work pattern recommendations. These include the Viva Insights Outlook add-in, and the Viva Insights app in Teams and web.
Organizations should review and assess any impact on their workforce in light of these upcoming changes while consulting the available resources found on Microsoft Learn such as the Briefing email overview and the Viva Insights app overview.
