Focus Mode in Viva Insights Teams App

With the release of the Viva Insights subscription, Microsoft Teams is seeing a new enhancement to its focus time experience. Users who have booked time through the focus plan will now receive a notification as the focus time approaches. After clicking on the notification, the user will enter a brand-new focus mode experience. This mode allows users to manage their task list, set a timer for balancing productivity bursts and breaks, and access mindfulness exercises during breaks.

Rollout for this new feature is expected to begin in mid-October and be completed by early November. Users who are already enrolled in the focus plan will begin receiving notifications to enter focus mode, but can disable this option in Viva Insight's settings page. In focus mode, users will have access to a new immersive experience with a focus timer, task list, and mindfulness content, including a breathing exercise if Headspace content is disabled.
