Microsoft Teams Events eDiscovery and legal hold support via Microsoft Purview for compliance needs
In early April 2024, Microsoft Teams Events eDiscovery and legal hold support will be available via Microsoft Purview for compliance needs. This will replace the current support system which relies on SharePoint. Admins can use Purview to manage eDiscovery and legal hold instead of SharePoint, and event and registration data will be available via Substrate Content Domain. This change is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 381950 and will be rolled out worldwide by late April 2024. No action is needed from organizations to prepare for this change, but they should inform users and update relevant documentation accordingly.
