Microsoft Edge: Desktop Shortcut for New Enterprise Devices

Microsoft Edge: Desktop Shortcut for New Enterprise Devices

For new enterprise devices that run on Windows Out of Box Experience (OOBE) for the first time, a desktop shortcut for Edge will be automatically created. This will provide users with an easy way to access their Edge browser without needing to manually pin and configure their setup. The Edge shortcut will appear on the desktop when enterprise users turn on their Windows 11 device for the first time. This feature is set to be available globally in April CY2024.

For more information, you can refer to the Microsoft Edge: Desktop Shortcut for New Enterprise Devices roadmap.
