Microsoft Intune: Application management for Microsoft Edge

Microsoft has introduced application layer management to Windows through Microsoft Intune, which brings in app configuration and app protection for Microsoft Edge along with app protection Conditional Access and Windows Defender integration. This feature was released in September CY2023 and was previewed in June CY2023. The platform is available for desktop cloud instances worldwide and follows the standard multi-tenant, DoD, GCC, GCC High format. The roadmap and ID for this feature is 103640 and can be accessed through the following link: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?featureid=103640.

For administrators, this feature is vital in managing applications and their security on Microsoft Edge, and helps streamline application management on Windows.
