Planned Maintenance – Windows Autopatch configuration update – March 2024

This post is a notice regarding planned maintenance to update the Windows Autopatch baseline (version 2403) for your Microsoft Entra ID organization (tenant). The maintenance is part of routine device management services and is expected to start on March 4th, 2024, with completion planned by late March 2024. The deployment schedule includes the test ring on March 4th, the first ring on March 6th, the fast ring on March 11th, and the broad ring on March 18th, 2024.

The purpose of the update is to strengthen/improve file encryption logic during log collection to enhance security. No action is required from your end, but if you have any questions or concerns, you can file a service request by visiting the Microsoft Intune admin center. The maintenance is planned outside of normal business hours to minimize the impact on your organization, but the post acknowledges that this may affect organizations with users around the world differently and apologizes for any inconvenience.
