Microsoft Viva: A new reactions design in Viva Engage

Microsoft Viva Engage is set to unveil a new design for reactions, set to be introduced across web, Teams, and Outlook apps. With completion by late December 2024, this update will enhance user interaction without changing core capabilities or data handling. The redesign will show reactions across thread starters, comments, and replies following an interactive, clickable pill-style aesthetic. Users will see no change to the number of icons available, and the reaction design will feature a dedicated copy link button and streamlined share button. Available from early October 2024, this rollout will require no admin action to initiate and will appear on the Engage web, Teams, and Outlook app surfaces. No changes to core capabilities will occur, nor will user data be impacted. Users should expect to see the redesign roll out on Engage iOS and Android apps in due course.
