Global Address List updates in New Outlook for Windows and Outlook on the Web

Microsoft is making changes to the Global Address List (GAL) search and browse experiences in New Outlook and Outlook on the web. Users will have to type in more characters to refine their search in some cases, and there will be visual improvements in error messaging. However, users can still find recipients by using the suggestion dropdown picker in the To/Cc/Bcc lines. These changes are rolling out and expected to be completed within the next few months. Users are advised to be prepared for the changes and organizations should communicate the changes to their users. Microsoft will also be publishing support content to help users understand the changes.
