Microsoft Teams: Email verification for external attendees to join Teams meetings

Microsoft Teams now offers enhanced security measures for external attendees joining Teams meetings. Meeting organizers are now able to send a one-time passcode to an external attendee's email address, which the attendee will use during the verification step when joining a Teams meeting. This feature instills greater confidence in meeting organizers, ensuring that only authorized attendees can join the meeting. The feature is currently targeted for release in February 2025 and will be available on the web cloud instance for worldwide use. This update is part of Microsoft's ongoing efforts to enhance Teams security and usability.
