Outlook: EML, MSG, and OFT File Support

Outlook users, rejoice! With support for EML, MSG, and OFT file types, you can now open a wider range of files in the new Outlook. This enhancement allows you to view and access files with the extensions "*.eml", "*.oft", and "*.msg" in the new Outlook. This makes it easier to open files and work with them without having to navigate back and forth between applications. You can open these files by dragging and dropping them onto the reading pane, double-clicking on them, or by using the Open With menu option in File Explorer.
The release phase for this feature is General Availability, meaning it is available to all users, and it was released in March 2024. This update is available for both desktop and cloud instances worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant). If you're an Outlook user, this feature is sure to save you time and effort while working with different types of files.
