Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Third party add-in user report can be sent to Microsoft for analysis
Microsoft Defender for Office 365 now allows admins and security analysts to send user reports generated from third-party add-ins in Outlook to Microsoft for analysis and learning. This can be configured through user-reported settings and offers an additional layer of protection against threats.
This feature is now generally available and is accessible via web and cloud platforms in Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant) instances. The feature was created on July 13, 2024, and is listed on the Microsoft 365 Roadmap with ID 406167.
To take advantage of this capability, organizations need to have a third-party reporting add-in installed in Outlook. With this feature in place, organizations can gain further insights and analysis for better security against threats.
