Excel: Formula data summaries in rows and cells
Excel has introduced a new feature that allows users to add a single formula to summarize column data into one cell. This means that instead of having full column calculations produce a unique result in each row, users now have the option to calculate all data in a column together to return one result. Additionally, users can create a row with formulas that apply for relevant columns. For example, an "add total sales row" will add a SUM formula underneath every column that has sales data. This feature is currently set to release in July 2024 and will be available on both desktop and cloud platforms worldwide.
For Excel users who deal with large amounts of data, this feature can be a game-changer as it allows for easier and more efficient data analysis and reporting.
