Microsoft Outlook: Intelligent recap integration

Microsoft Outlook has announced the integration of an AI-powered Intelligent Recap feature from Microsoft Teams to allow users to access AI-generated meeting notes and tasks directly from the Outlook calendar. This feature will be available for new Outlook for Windows and web, with full access depending on license status. Rollout for this feature will begin in mid-August 2024. The Intelligent Recap AI-powered feature generates meeting notes, follow-up tasks, speaker identification, name mentions, topics, chapters, and more for users to catch up on missed meetings. Users can access the Recap feature from the new Outlook calendar in two ways, and users without Teams Premium or Copilot for Microsoft 365 licenses will have access to the basic set of Recap artifacts such as recordings, transcription, and shared files. All new Outlook users will have access to Recap artifacts, with specific artifacts available depending on their license status. This move equips Outlook users with cutting-edge technology and features that promise to revolutionize their meeting experience.
