Microsoft Outlook: Prepare for your meeting with Microsoft 365 Copilot
Microsoft Outlook is set to improve meeting preparedness with the release of Microsoft 365 Copilot. This feature summarizes crucial meeting information, such as the meeting’s purpose, related discussions, action items, and pre-reads. The summary is unique for all attendees and is based on the content each of them has permission to access. The feature will be available on both Outlook for Windows and web and will require a Microsoft 365 Copilot license to access. Only meetings with two or more participants will support this feature. Administrators must enable the Meeting Insights setting in the Microsoft 365 admin center before users can access pre-meeting summaries in the calendar. Afterward, users with a Copilot license can access the summaries by clicking on the “Prepare with Copilot” button when opening the meeting invite in the calendar. This feature is set to be rolled out globally between mid-January 2025 and mid- February 2025. Please note that before enabling this feature, each summary is grounded in content specific to each user and will be generated based on the meeting's content that they can access.
Overall, the Microsoft 365 Copilot feature promises to make it easier to prepare for meetings, especially for Outlook users.
