Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Audit – New Yammer / Viva Engage Logs for Microsoft Purview Audit Standard Users

Microsoft Purview is making changes to its Audit standard usage policy by enabling access to new cloud security events in Microsoft Viva Engage (previously known as Yammer). This will allow standard users of Purview Audit to generate 6 previously only available events for Audit Premium licensed users, including ThreadViewed, ThreadAccessFailure, MessageUpdated, FileAccessFailure, MessageCreation, and GroupAccessFailure. This update will be available on the web cloud instance worldwide in November CY2023. This information was released in the Roadmap ID 180740.

For Microsoft Viva Engage users, this update represents a new opportunity to take advantage of Purview's thoughtful design and capabilities, allowing for greater control over data and deeper insights.
