Microsoft Teams: Admin setting for uploading files using drag-drop

Microsoft Teams will now provide an administrative setting that enables the control of default content apps for local files being uploaded using drag-drop in chat and channels. The current default location for drag-drop uploads using OneDrive and SharePoint will now be managed by admins for greater control. This feature is scheduled for release in February CY2024 for the desktop and cloud platform, and will be available for worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), GCC High, GCC, and DoD instances. Learn more about this on the Microsoft 365 Roadmap with the ID 376219.
